What You Will Find

Legal Jobs Posted by the Defense Bar

The Job Board is a benefit of SACDLA membership. Members post the openings and members read them, so every listing comes from a firm, office or organization known to the San Antonio criminal defense community.

For Employers

Member firms and offices post attorney, paralegal, investigator and staff openings directly to the board, where the Bexar County defense bar reads them. Each listing carries the position, the office, the practice focus, how to apply and a closing date, and runs until that date.

For Job Seekers

Lawyers, law students, paralegals and legal professionals read every opening after signing in, with the employer's own contact for applications. Law student members and lawyers in their first year of practice join at the student rate and read the same board.

Positions on the Board

  • Criminal defense attorney jobs
  • Associate and contract attorney positions
  • Public defender and appointed counsel openings
  • Paralegal and legal assistant jobs
  • Investigator and mitigation specialist roles
  • Law clerk and law student positions
  • Office and administrative staff
  • Of counsel and practice succession notices

How the Board Works

  1. Members sign in and post an opening from the Member Area; the Executive Director's office reviews each listing before it appears.
  2. Job seekers sign in to read the full listing and apply directly to the employer.
  3. Employers outside the membership send an opening to [email protected], and the office posts it on their behalf after review.
  4. New listings are announced in SACDLA Monthly, the association's newsletter.

About SACDLA

The Criminal Defense Bar of Bexar County

The San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyers Association is organized to promote, assist and educate its membership in the protection of individual rights guaranteed by the Texas and Federal Constitutions, and in the competent and ethical representation of persons accused of a crime. Its members practice in the Bexar County criminal courts, from the County Courts at Law to the Fourth Court of Appeals, and the Job Board is where their offices hire.
